Kimthatchers is based out of the Northern Cape town of Kimberley. Well known locally, Kimthatchers is managed by owner Danie Meijers, a founding member of the South African Thathers Association, with almost 40 years of experience in the industry, Kimthatchers having been in existence for almost 30 years. Kimthatchers services the entire Free State and Northern Cape, specialising in everything from Game Lodges to private homes, lapas and everything in between.
Kimthatchers prides itself in delivering a finished product of very high standard, quality workmanship being the cornerstone on which the business has been built to date and on which it is still run. For this reason Kimthatchers is well known both locally and abroad and has as such taken home numerous awards, a testament to the quality and beauty of Danie Meijers' craftsmanship.
Kimthatchers are also agents for Micon Thachsayf and Thatchbor FR, the only two fire retardent products which have been tested to the SANS 10407:2006 standard. Both products are used extensively by Kimthatchers on its thatched roofs.

Drawing / Draughting of Building Plans
If required by a client we can handle the drawing up, submission and approval of drawing plans to local authorities.
Scale Model mock-ups of Thatching Projects
All major projects can be provided with a scale model mock-up on request of the work to be done prior to project commencement.
